The site-tier dashboard inside the admin — operator landing surface for one site.

The SG-Admin Dashboard is the landing surface operators see when they enter a single site's SG-Admin. It summarizes the site's current state — recent activity, pending work, quick-access surfaces — and routes the operator into deeper per-module work. This page is the Reference definition of the admin Dashboard sub-page.

What is this for?

Read this page when you want the structural definition of the per-site dashboard inside the admin — what it summarizes, what quick-access surfaces appear, and how it relates to the account-tier SG-Dashboard.

Good use cases

  • You are a new operator landing in a site for the first time and want to know what the dashboard shows.
  • You are explaining to a stakeholder how SG-Admin handles the operator landing experience.
  • You hit a "what should I see when I open this site?" question and want the model laid out.

What NOT to use this for

  • Step-by-step procedures — open the relevant Guide.
  • Per-release shipped change — open What's New or Changelog.
  • Account-tier dashboard — open SG-Dashboard Overview (different surface).
  • Per-module deep work — open the corresponding module Reference.

How this connects to other features

Where to find it

The SG-Admin Dashboard is the landing page you see after entering a site from the account-tier SG-Dashboard. Navigate to your site card in SG-Dashboard, then open the site — the first screen that loads is the per-site Dashboard. No additional navigation step is required.

Definition

The SG-Admin Dashboard is the per-site landing surface inside the admin. The operator arrives at this surface after routing into a site from the account-tier SG-Dashboard. The Dashboard shows site state summary, recent activity, and quick-access entry points for the most common per-site work.

The defining property is per-site landing. Where SG-Dashboard is the multi-site cockpit, SG-Admin Dashboard is the single-site cockpit.

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to define the per-site dashboard as a Reference layer rather than as a configuration walkthrough. It explains what the surface shows and how it relates to the broader SG-Admin pillar structure.

Scope

This page covers the admin Dashboard at the Reference level.

The page covers:

  • The site state summary the dashboard shows.
  • The quick-access entry points it surfaces.
  • The boundary against per-module work and against the account-tier SG-Dashboard.
The page does not cover:
  • Per-step procedures — Guides.
  • Per-module deep detail — corresponding module References.
  • Per-release shipped change — What's New or Changelog.

What the dashboard shows

Site state summary

The dashboard summarizes the site's current operational state — recent publishes, pending drafts, active forms, recent submissions, recent orders (where applicable), site health indicators.

Recent activity feed

A short feed of recent operator and visitor activity — who edited what, what was published, recent traffic indicators.

Quick-access entry points

Common SG-Admin destinations surfaced as direct entry points — Pages, Blogs, Products, Orders, Settings, Tools. Operators often start their day from these entry points rather than navigating the full pillar tree.

Relationship to account-tier SG-Dashboard

The SG-Admin Dashboard is single-site scope. The account-tier SG-Dashboard is multi-site scope. They are intentionally distinct:

  • Account-tier (SG-Dashboard): portfolio of sites, billing, multi-site reporting, support tickets.
  • Site-tier (SG-Admin Dashboard): one site's state, recent activity, quick-access to that site's per-module work.
Operators move from one to the other via the site card in SG-Dashboard Site Manager.

Constraints and boundaries

The SG-Admin Dashboard is a Reference area for the per-site landing surface.

Use this Reference for:

  • Understanding what the per-site dashboard shows.
  • Confirming the boundary against the account-tier SG-Dashboard.
Do not use this Reference for:
  • Account-tier work — SG-Dashboard.
  • Per-module deep detail — corresponding module Reference.
  • Per-step procedures — Guides.

Public boundary

This page is intentionally public-safe.

Examples

Example 1 — Operator opens a site for the first time today

The operator routes into the site from SG-Dashboard, lands on the admin Dashboard, scans recent activity (overnight form submissions, scheduled publish that ran at 02:00), confirms nothing needs immediate attention, opens Pages to start the day's work.

Example 2 — Stakeholder asks "what's our site doing right now?"

The operator opens the per-site Dashboard, reads the site state summary (visits last 24h, conversions today, drafts pending). The Reference grounds the conversation in the platform's per-site landing model.

Example 3 — Operator switches between sites

After finishing on one site, the operator returns to SG-Dashboard, opens a different site card, lands on that site's SG-Admin Dashboard. The same shape of summary repeats per site, scoped to the active site.

Documentation guidance

Use this page as the structural definition for the per-site landing surface. Procedural detail belongs in Guides; per-release behavior change belongs in What's New or Changelog.
