California Notice at Collection

Last updated: [to be set on publish]

This Notice is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") for California residents. It is a short-form companion to our Privacy Policy, which describes how SGEN handles personal information in full.

Categories of personal information we collect

In the preceding 12 months, SGEN has collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:

  • Identifiers — name, email address, account ID, IP address, device identifiers.
  • Commercial information — billing contact details, subscription status, transaction metadata.
  • Internet or network activity — log and activity data, pages viewed, actions taken in the platform, referring URLs.
  • Geolocation — approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Communications — contents of support requests and other communications you send to us.
  • Audio/visual — content you upload to your account (e.g. images, video).
  • Inferences — usage patterns derived from your use of the Services for product improvement and platform analytics.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information categories beyond what is necessary to authenticate and protect accounts.

Why we collect personal information

  • to provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services
  • to manage your account, process payments, and communicate with you
  • to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • to comply with legal obligations
A full description of the purposes is in our Privacy Policy § 3.

Sale or sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined under the CPRA.

How long we keep personal information

Personal information is retained for the periods described in our Privacy Policy § 7.

Your California rights

Under CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information SGEN has collected about them
  • Access the personal information SGEN holds about them
  • Delete personal information, subject to permitted exceptions
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" — though SGEN does not sell or share, we honour opt-out requests anyway
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information — though SGEN does not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what CPRA permits without a limit-use election
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@sgen.com from the email address associated with your SGEN account. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Authorised agents

You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorisation signed by you, and we may require you to verify your own identity directly.
